Dave Robertson has today been sacked by Peterborough after just four months.
He becomes the first managerial casualty of the season, after getting just four points from his first six games. It isn’t a great start to the season at all but after signing a three-year contract last season, he probably hoped to last a bit longer than a few months.
On Twitter, the sacking has generally been met positively. A lot of people like Robertson but agree that he should have lost his job and most fans are pleased that they can get a new man in now and kick-on in the 2015/16 campaign.
There have been quite a few people hoping for his sacking for some time now and it appears today that many have got their wish. Here are some of the tweets:
I'm glad Dave Robertson has gone. It was the right decision. We were battered by Southend, which was more than the icing on the cake.#pufc

Thank god Robertson has gone, nothing against him personally, he's just not the right man for the job #PUFC
