Transfer deadline day is always full of some surprises no matter which team that you support. A few twists and turns along the way as the deadline for signings looms large.
The 2015 summer transfer deadline day was no different as teams sought out that bargain or big buy that might turn around their fortunes and kick on their season. Huddersfield Town were one of those sides, losing midfielder Jacob Butterfield to big-spending Derby County for a reputed £4m fee, but gaining highly-regarded midfielder Jamie Paterson on a season-long loan with option to buy.
23-year old Paterson made his name at Walsall, making 102 appearances and scoring 16 goals before moving to Nottingham Forest in 2013 where he made 54 appearances and scored 9 goals. At the time, Huddersfield were interested in his signature at a reported fee of £400,000. Paterson, a midfielder who likes to run at, and commit defenders, will wear the number 8 shirt and is available for the next Huddersfield Town game against Cardiff on September 12.
