TRANSFERS: 5 Key Summer Transfers at Fulham

It’s been a busy time at the Cottage, with no fewer than twelve new faces through the door over the course of the summer, as well as five permanent departures from the ranks and eight Cottagers let out on loan.

Fulham have lost ‘jewel in the crown’ Patrick Roberts and the mercurial talent of Bryan Ruiz, and whilst there was a brief period of hope that £12-million-man Kostas Mitroglou might have stayed to fire the club back to the top flight, with a cameo appearance against Crystal Palace, he too eventually was loaned out to Benfica, promising that if Fulham were to be promoted, he would love to play. Thanks, Kostas.

So there was plenty of room to fill, and Mike Rigg has moved diligently around the market, making some shrewd additions including experienced stopper Andy Lonergan and Tim Ream from Bolton, and a return for Ashley ‘Jazz’ Richards from Swansea.
