Crystal Palace midfielder on Derby and Cardiff radar

Experienced midfielder Joe Ledley is being linked with a possible move to Derby or a return to Cardiff as well as claims Premier League West Brom are interested, reports the Derby Telegraph.

Ledley is currently with the Welsh international squad as they prepare for their Euro Qualifier with Cyprus, but after being pushed out of the starting XI at Selhurst Park a move away could be likely.

The 28-year-old midfielder has 57 caps for Wales and established himself as a regular in the Crystal Palace line-up since joining from Celtic in January 2014.

Derby have already signed Jacob Butterfield from Huddersfield on deadline day, but after a poor start to the season and the loss of Will Hughes through injury, there interest in Ledley seems justified.

Cardiff meanwhile sit in the top six with nine points from five games in the Championship and will have hopes to improve their squad in a bid to return to the Premier League after a disappointing season back in the Championship last time around.

Ledley of course started his career at Cardiff, coming through the youth ranks and playing for the Bluebirds for six years from 2004 to 2010 making over 200 league appearances for the club before making the switch the Celtic.
