Coventry City’s interest in signing Leeds striker Nicky Ajose has been described as ‘difficult’, by Coventry Telegraph’s Andy Turner.
The Yorkshire Evening Post linked the Sky Blues with the 23-year-old forward but the interest has plenty of complications. No more than the rumours that Ajose earns 3-4 times more at Elland Road than Coventry City’s top earner.
Ajose completed his move to Leeds for a fee of £150,000 from Peteborough when David Hockaday was in charge there. Hockaday is now at Coventry City as their development squad manager.
Although Ajose does not appear to be in new boss Uwe Rosler’s plans, he will be looking for a decent settlement to end his time at the West Yorkshire club.
The player who came through Manchester United’s youth system spent time on loan at Crewe Alexandra last season, scoring 8 goals in 27 appearances for the League One club.
Coventry City fans have welcomed the transfer with open arms…
I see we’re being linked with Nicky Ajose. Dunno how true this is, but would be an incredible signing
