Despite reports saying that Fernando Forestieri didn’t want to leave Watford and London for the rough wastelands of Northern England to sign for Leeds United, the Argentinian-born did just that. Not sign for Leeds United, that boat sailed a while ago, but he has swapped the pretty lights of London for the flickering illuminations of Northern England, signing a four-year deal with Sheffield Wednesday.
With such a signing, a proven quality player at Championship level, you’d be forgiven for expecting ripples of excitement at Forestieri becoming an Owl. After all, it is not often that your club spend £3m on a player who will come to be seen as a ‘marquee signing’ and one who will add undoubted quality and threat to the Sheffield Wednesday front line.

That's a goal/assist every 110 minutes, and a goal every 231 minutes. #Forestieri #SWFC
