Leeds United facing three club battle for Leicester youngster

The Leicester Mercury have today reported that Leeds United (who’s interest was covered yesterday) have been joined by Brentford and Brighton in the hunt for Leciester defender Liam Moore, with the clubs hoping the Foxes will allow the 22 year-old to leave on loan.

Whites boss Uwe Rosler watched the defender closely during Leciester’s 4-1 victory over Bury last night with Moore playing 90 minutes before being substituted in injury time.

The game at Gigg Lane was Moore’s first appearance of the new season and his first for the Foxes since January and a competent outing at right-back has led to the race for his signature hotting up.

A former England U21 international, Moore has already made over 65 appearances for Leicester including 11 in the Premier League last season.

Moore has enjoyed three loan spells away from the King Power Stadium, spending part of 2011 with Bradford City and having two separate stints, one in 2013 and the other in 2015, with Brentford.

On paper it would seem Leeds and Brentford would benefit most from the arrival of the youngster, having kept just one clean sheet between them from their opening seven games.
