According to Michael Qureshi, a prominent sports reporter in Denmark, Birmingham City are close to signing Nicolai Brock-Madsen of Randers FC.

Brock-Madsen is just 22 and stands at 6’3; height is something that Gary Rowett seems to be looking to add to the Blues squad, with trialists Peniel Mlapa and Emmanuel Mbende both standing at 6’5, at both ends of the field.
Rowett has spoken about using statistical analysis to sign players, and it’s likely that the Danish forward has been found using this.
However he has some pedigree – a good record at Denmark U21 level, and a call-up to the national team are not to be sniffed at, even if his record at club level is not as impressive.
16 goals in 90 appearances isn’t an exciting figure, but he is still young and improving, and he has 7 in 14 for the U21’s and a goal and two assists so far this year.
Brock-Madsen seems an interesting buy if it comes off, and we shall see whether it pays off for Rowett and his team.
