Bolton finally sign Pisano

Bolton Wanderers have finally signed Italy right back Francesco Pisano on a two-year deal.

The Italian has been linked with Wanderers all summer after his contract at Cagliari came to an end. Now the deal has finally been confirmed following the departure of Tim Ream to Fulham.

Talks had been held in July but the deal could not happen due to the finances at Neil Lennon’s disposal. However, when it was revealed Tim Ream was on the way out and agreement was quickly struck between the two parties.

The 29-year old has spent his entire career at Caglairi plying his trade in Serie A making 230 appearances. However, Cagliair were relagated to Serie B at the end of last season and Pisanl decided against renewing his contract with the club.

The right back has represented Italy at under-21 level and was a member of the squad that reached the European Championship semi-finals in 2009.

Pisano will go straight into the Wanderers squad and will hope to play on Saturday as Bolton host Nottingham Forest at the Macron Stadium.
