Wolves’ Dave Edwards extends deal

Wolves midfielder has signed a new one-year contract extension.

The 29-year old’s contract was due to expire at the end of this season but is now set to expire in the summer of 2017.

Edwards has been with Wolves since his move from Luton Town in 2008 and has since made over 200 appearances for the club scoring over 20 goals.

Wolves manager Kenny Jackett told the official website“I’m delighted that Dave has extended his contract, he’s been a key player in my time here with some fantastic performances and some vital goals.”

“With so many younger players around Dave’s experience and leadership are going to be vital for the coming season.”

Edwards is also a full Wales international and has made 27 appearances scoring 3 times for the national side.
