The Championship’s Hot Prospects

After the new season got under way, fans from across the country will be excited to see their teams new faces on the field. Here are 3 hot prospects who could take the Championship by storm this season if they play to their full potential.

Jordan Cousins

We start at The Valley with 21 year old midfielder Jordan Cousins. Cousins has progressed well over the last 2 seasons and has totalled up an impressive 86 league appearances since the 13/14 campaign started, scoring 5 goals. Following a summer with strong interest from Championship and Premier League sides, Cousins signed a new 4 year deal, and will be looking to knuckle down this season and show what he is capable of. Wearing the number 8 shirt this season, Cousins plays in the heart of midfield or out on the left; his composure and skill could help him become a menace for opposition midfielders to deal with.

Zach Clough

Next up we head to the Macron Stadium with 20 year old Zach Clough. Clough is a versatile young forward who plays the number 10 role; he can also play as a striker or as a wide midfielder. Breaking into the side last season, he scored 5 goals in 9 appearances. With Gary Madine being another new signing for Bolton, his strength and hold up play will allow Clough to burst forward more and improve his goalscoring tally. Clough has bags of potential and should be a top performer for Bolton this season.

Solly March

The final player we focus on is young wideman Solly March. Brighton kicked off their season on Friday with a 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest and March was Man of the Match for me. He is a technically gifted player who plays mainly out on the right although he is predominantly left footed. March has made 34 appearances for Brighton so far and scored 1 goal. With a good run of games this year you have to think that the 21 year old will show everyone just how capable he is of becoming a key player for the Championship side.
