Ports Vale and Wigan Athletic took more than 2000 fans away with them on the opening game of the season. Of the games, only 3 were lower than 1000 which is great to see.

10 of the 11 teams we have stats for beat last years average travelers numbers on the first showing which is really impressive, even if it is the first game of the season. A combined total travelers fan count of 14968 puts League 1 under 5000 fans away from the Championship, which shows how important all three League’s are in maintaining football fans interest.

6141 – More fans that the club averages last season – On the opening game alone, that’s 58% more traveling fans than last season’s average!
