Hull City have offered Brentford £9 million for striker Andre Gray and wide player Moses Odubajo, according to Sky Sports.

Hull have been chasing the duo recently as they look to strengthen and secure an immediate return to the Premier League. Brentford admitted that they are resigned to losing Odubajo but stated that forward Andre Gray would not be sold. This new bid from Hull is set to test that statement.

Gray enjoyed a fantastic first season in the Championship during the 2014/15 campaign. After joining from Luton, Gray made 50 appearances in all competitions, scoring 18 and assisting 8 and fired Brentford into the Championship Play-Offs.

Odubajo was another player who was key for Brentford last season, making 49 appearances, scoring 3 and helping out with 5 assists. Brentford recently lost winger Stuart Dallas to Leeds after he joined for a fee of £1.3 million.

In an interview with BBC London 94.9 yesterday, Brentford boss Marinus Dijkhuizen said that “I think Moses will not be in the squad any more so that’s a big loss for us.

“Hull bid for him last week and he decided for himself that he didn’t want to play in the friendly, he wants to leave. He said it’s a big opportunity for him.

“I expect a Premier League club to bid because he’s a very good player and there aren’t a lot of good right-backs around.”
