Rosler reveals Dallas signing will be last permanent deal

Leeds United Head Coach Uwe Rosler has admitted that the player signing next week, believed to be Stuart Dallas, will probably be the club’s last permanent signing of the summer, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post’s Phil Hay.

The signing of Stuart Dallas from Brentford is set to be Rosler’s signing number seven of the summer, following the arrivals of goalkeepers Ross Turnbull and Charlie Horton, defender Sol Bamba, midfielder Tom Adeyemi and strikers Lee Erwin and Chris Wood.

Dallas is set to cost The Whites a total of £1.5 million, with £1.25 million being paid upfront and £250k being paid in add-ons. The Leeds boss refused to specifically name Dallas in his press conference, but said that the incoming player would probably be the last permanent deal of the summer for the Championship club.

Speaking after his side’s 2-0 victory against Everton on Saturday, Rosler said in his press conference that “I think in terms of permanent deals, when what we assume will go ahead goes ahead, then I think on permanent deals we are done.

“Of course there is also a loan market which could also be attractive to us under certain circumstances.

“But (against Everton) we had a squad of 18 players who I consider first team players and that is not the biggest squad in the world.

“So we always have to have our eyes open and when we need to tap into the loan window then we can do. But there is no real need at this moment in time.”

As highlighted above, Rosler hinted that his side need more new faces to provide the depth required for a 46-game season. As revealed in the tweet below, despite the permanent deals being ‘done’, Leeds could see a double signing next week.
