No more signings expected for Wolves

Assistant Head Coach Joe Gallen has told fans not to expect any more signings at the club before the start of the new season.

Wolves kick off their campaign with a trip to Blackburn next Saturday and Gallen believes that the current squad is strong enough to compete for promotion.

In an Interview with the Express & Star, Gallen said: “There haven’t been (a lot of additions). But looking at Tuesday night I was thinking if we go to Blackburn with that XI and those subs, I would take that.

“With that group of players and that group of subs I will be pleased and feel that we can get a result. I would be happy to go with the guys who faced Villa.”

The club narrowly missed out on the play-offs on goal difference last season and will look to finish in the top six this campaign.

Jackett has already acquired the services of midfielders Connor Coady and Jed Wallace who were snapped up from Huddersfield and Portsmouth respectively.

However the club are yet to fill the void left by star player Bakary Sako whose contract ran out at the end of last season. The Malian winger has recently been in talks with Black Country rivals West Bromwich Albion over a potential deal.

Wolves will round off their pre-season with a trip to Doncaster Rovers today which kicks off at 3 o’clock.
