Swindon fail in attempt to sign Leeds forward Ajose

Swindon Town have failed in their attempt to sign Leeds United striker Nicky Ajose on-loan, according to Sky Sports.

The 23-year-old has been told to find another club as he has no future at Elland Road, just 12 months after signing from Peterborough United. Ajose has managed just 4 appearances for Leeds and has failed to find the net.

He has previously spent a spell at Swindon on-loan from Peterborough, Ajose made 21 appearances during his time at the League One club, scoring 10 and assisting 1. The forward spent a large part of last season in League One on-loan at Crewe, where he scored 8 in 27 appearances.

Despite Leeds looking to get rid of Ajose, it is understood that they want him gone permanently as opposed to a loan deal, with Swindon not looking for a permanent deal at the moment, it is unclear whether the player will make this move in the future.

Meanwhile, Leeds United are set to announce the signing of winger Stuart Dallas from Brentford early next week.
