Bolton to sign four players

According to reports today, Bolton Wanderers are set to sign 4 players before the end of the week.

Bolton are a team working on the basis of one-in, one-out and this allows the room for these players to come in.  The first is Emile Heskey, who Bolton fans will already be familiar with as he played for them last season.  He will extend his contract at Bolton for another season.

The second is right back Lawrie Wilson who is currently without a club after being released by Charlton Athletic at the end of last season.  Wilson, who can also play in midfield, spent time on loan at Rotherham United last year.

Bolton are also expected to announce the signing of 32 year-old Stephen Dobbie.  Dobbie’s contract at Crystal Palace expired at the end of last season but he spent last year on loan at League 1 side Fleetwood Town.

As Rob Hall left Bolton on loan to MK Dons, there is one more place available in the squad and Bolton have today been linked with ex Cagliari defender Francesco Pisano.  Pisano, 29, has spent his entire career at the club but was released at the end of last season.  With 225 Serie A appearances, Bolton will be signing a player with lots of experience.

Neil Lennon is starting to put his own stamp on the squad at Bolton and fans will be hoping for a better season than last year’s 17th place finish.
