Wolves, Bakary Sako set for medical at West Brom

Bakary Sako set for medical at West Brom

The ongoing transfer saga surrounding Bakary Sako seems to be coming to an end if reports from the Birmingham Mail today are accurate.

West Brom have been long-time admirers of Sako with Baggies boss Tony Pulis an admirer of the qualities the Mali international has, and they appear to have the won battle for his signature.

Fellow Premier League clubs Aston Villa, Leicester City and Bournemouth had all been linked with the 27 year-old but have lost out to West Brom, with Sako expected to undergo a medical at the Hawthorns in the coming days.

Sako was one of the star performers for Wolves last season as he netted 15 goals and provided seven assists for his team mates.

The French-born attacker started his career with lower league French side Chateauroux before being snapped up by Ligue 1 outfit Saint-Etienne.

Three years with The Greens, making over 75 appearances and bagging over ten goals, led to a £2.2 million move to Wolves where Sako spent three years racking up over 35 goals.
