Wolverhampton Wanderers terminate interest in winger and turn to Premier League side’s striker

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly terminated their interest in Cardiff’s Craig Noone, and are now interested in bringing 20-year old striker Sam Gallagher to the Molineux.

According to the Express & Star, reports say that Wolves want to take the Southampton striker, which would suit all parties involved. Gallagher is in an ideal position as to where he can attempt to burst into the first team, but first he needs to gain more first team experience other than what he did at St Mary’s when Jay Rodriguez was sidelined, and if it means he must achieve this away from home; so be it.

Even though he has participated in the Saints’ pre-season tour, reality shows that Gallagher will not get a sniff of the first team this season as there are many players ahead of him in the queue, including Pelle, Mane, Rodriguez and Long, who could however be leaving Southampton in the near future. With this in mind, it is understood that a recall option could be in a clause of the deal.
