Before I start this article, just want to mention when I’m writing this article, Fulham and Huddersfield are yet to release their kits. Also a big shout-out to the majority of the Championship clubs in producing some pretty mediocre kits!
5. Charlton Athletic
The Addicks have gone for a no-nonsense look this season with a simple but clean look. Nike have served Charlton well over the last three years and yet again have produced a classic shirt. It’s worth mentioning that they seem to be conversing kit designs with Peterborough the past few seasons!
City are celebrating their 140th anniversary and have produced a really unique shirt, the club have also revived the popular 1970’s crest. The shirt is based on a kit worn in 1875 by Small Heath Alliance, the club later became Birmingham City. 1,875 people paid £195 to have their names printed on the white sash, another neat touch from the Blues.
3. Cardiff City
The infamous Vincent Tan had a change of heart on Cardiff’s colour arrangements late last year and the home shirt is once again blue, the Bluebird has also made it’s return! Even though their kit is identical to FC Halifax’s, Adidas have produced a sharp looking kit. I think fans will care more about the colour than the design this season!
The League One champions have returned to the Championship after spending two years in League One, local kit supplier Bristol Sport have produced a kit that tries to revive the classic 1973 kit. Bristol Sport provided City with an outstanding kit last season and have done it again this season!
1. Leeds United
United are currently going through legal disputes with Macron and Enterprise Insurance, the two firms contracts are set to expire with Leeds in 2016. However, United have released a Kappa kit which does not feature a sponsor. amid the legal disputes Kappa have created a kit that is far superior to the kits Macron have produced over the past few seasons!
Honourable mentions go to Sheffield Wednesday, Brentford, Middlesbrough, Ipswich and MK!
