Rovers in talks with midfielder

Blackburn Rovers are in talks with midfielder Kim Bo-Kyung over a transfer to the club.

Kim is currently a free agent after leaving relegated side Wigan Athletic at the end of last season.  The player had only joined Wigan in February after leaving Cardiff City.

Kim made his move into English football with Cardiff in 2012 and spent 3 years there, making 58 appearances and scoring 3 goals.  However in January of this year, Kim’s contract was terminated by mutual consent.

The South Korean attacking midfielder has also made 32 appearances for his country, scoring on 3 occasions.

Blackburn Rovers are a club currently under transfer embargo meaning they can only sign players on loan or players who are free agents.  This leaves the club with very little room to maneuver in the transfer market.

Despite just having been relegated from the Championship, Kim would be a useful signing for the club.  However they may need more signings yet following the news of Middlebrough bidding for star striker Jordan Rhodes.
