It is being reported that Championship club MK Dons are in talks with defender Matthew Upson.
The England international defender is in talks with the club following his release from Premier League side Leicester City. However MK Dons could face competition for his signature after reported interest from Brighton, where Upson was player of the year in 2014.
At 36, Upson would provide vast experience to the Dons’ back-line, vital for the coming season following their promotion from League 1.
Upson signed for Arsenal at a young age before leaving to play for Birmingham then West Ham. In 2011 Upson called time on his West Ham career but stayed in the Premier League with Stoke City. Following a successful loan spell at Brighton in 2013, Upson transferred there permanently.
He made the move back to the Premier League last season with Leicester but was limited to just 5 appearances.
Despite the interest from Brighton, MK Dons are considered favorites to sign the veteran defender.
