Cardiff to sign defender

Cardiff are reportedly set to sign defender Jordan Blaise after his release from French side Bordeaux.

Blaise, who can play both as a centre back and right back had been on trial with Cardiff and played in their game against Forest Green Rovers last week.  Tonight reports suggest manager Russell Slade has offered the player a 3 year contract.

The defender, 19, has now agreed personal terms and will have a medical with the club tomorrow ahead of finalising the move into English football.

It had previously been reported that Blaise had returned to France after the trial, but now it seems he will be spending a considerable amount of time in Wales.

After the friendly game against Forest Green Rovers, boss Russell Slade said: “Jordan did well during his spell with us and we’ll talk to him again”, so this move shouldn’t come as a surprise.

Blaise will join the Cardiff Development Squad this season and be monitored before moving into contention for the first team.
