Manchester City keen on a deal for highly rated Blackpool youngster

The Blackpool Gazette have today reported that Premier League giants Manchester City have taken young Blackpool keeper Myles Boney on trial and has been given permission by boss Neil McDonald to talk to City.

Boney is yet to make a first team appearance for the Seasiders but make his way onto the bench at the end of the last season as he was promoted to Blackpool’s No.2 keeper.

The 17 year-old is highly rated at Bloomfield Road but is yet to sign a professional deal with the Tangerines meaning City could snap up the youngster for a minimal compensation fee.

In April, Boney was selected to be part of the England U17’s goalkeeping training camp showing his potential is not just recognized at club level, but also on the international scene.
