The Whites enquire about Italian defender

Leeds United have enquired to Italian club Juve Stabia about the availability of defender Marco Migliorini, confirms the club’s Sporting Director Pasquale Logiudice.

Inside Futbol reports that the 23-year-old has attracted interest from a number of clubs following his performances for Juve in Serie C last season. Logiudice insists that the club will not stand in the way of Migliorini leaving if the correct offer is in place, and it is beneficial for both the player and the club.

Logiudice told Italian sport site Tutto Mercato “it is clear that we have had enquiries, from Carpi, from Leeds United, and the player has done well enough to merit playing at a higher level.

“We expect, for anyone who wants to take Migliorini, to call us, they would be buying an important player.

“We must respect the parameters, we have improved the player, and I’d like it for Migliorini if he played at least in Serie B because he has the potential.

“For the sake of the boy and as a club we will try to act in the best interests of all.”

It is now unclear whether Leeds will follow up this interest since Sporting Director Nicola Salerno left the club, but with speculation that Leeds may look for another defender, The Whites may possibly submit a bid for the young centre-back.
