Robert Tesche looks set to stay at Nottingham Forest, as Birmingham manager Gary Rowett states that a deal seems unlikely.
Birmingham will look at other targets for the central midfield position, which may include Rostyn Griffiths, who has played the last two friendlies.
Nottingham Forest are more than happy to keep Tesche, as he was only allowed to leave last season due to the form of Gary Gardner, who has gone back to Aston Villa.
Should Gardner go back to Forest, Tesche may be allowed to leave, but it’s a longshot for Rowett and his team.
The German midfielder has played and impressed in both of Nottingham Forest’s friendlies so far in pre-season.
