Fogden Signs On As Yeovil Clear The Mist Of Relegation

Yeovil Town have signed midfielder Wes Fogden on a two-year-deal following his release from fellow League Two club Portsmouth.

Fogden made just 28 appearances for the South Coast side where he suffered a career threatening injury. The much-loved 27-year-old was a surprise name on Paul Cook’s list of players to let go.

Fogden, who also played for Havant and Waterloovile and AFC Bournemouth, has spoken previously of his search for a new club, telling the Portsmouth News:

“I’ve had a couple of League Two managers call up. I am not going to say which ones out of respect for them, but I have options at the moment even it’s in the early stages of where I decide I want to go next season.”

Fogden is the second former Pompey player to arrive at Huish Park with Ryan Bird flying in earlier in the week.

The Glovers are attempting to return to League One at the first attempt after a dismal season which culminated in successive relegations.
