Hull and Burnley among four clubs chasing Premier League midfielder

According to reports today four Championship clubs are in the hunt for Newcastle’s want-away midfielder Haris Vuckic with the Slovenian being told by boss Steve McClaren he has no future at St James’ Park.

The attacking midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan with Scottish Championship side Rangers after making just one league appearance for the Magpies in the first half of the campaign.

Vuckic enjoyed his time in Scotland and regularly found the back of the net – scoring nine goals in 17 games in all competitions.

After starting his career in his home country of Slovenia with Domzale the 22 year-old was snapped up by Newcastle in 2009 after they fought off competition from AC Milan for his signature.

However, since his move he has struggled to make an impact on the first team and has made just 19 appearances (netting once) since his move to Newcastle.

Loans to Cardiff in 2011 and Rotherham in 2013 has provided the youngster with valuable first team action but hasn’t been enough to sufficiently impress the Magpies.
