Chris Wood was excited to make his first appearance for Leeds in the pre-season friendly against Harrogate Town and is eager to build fitness for the coming season.
The recent three million signing from Leicester in the summer was finally able to experience his first outing in a white shirt and was quick enough to state the importance of getting some game time.
Speaking on the Leeds United website he gave his views on why this is so important.
“It was nice to be back out playing and blowing a few cobwebs off. We don’t really look at results in the first couple of games. It’s about our preparation and building fitness. It was nice to pull the shirt on for the first time and hopefully there will be a lot of goals to come”.
For Chris Wood, he will be looking to keep on improving his fitness and find his goalscoring touch during pre-season.
