Rotherham sign talented Tottenham youngster

Rotherham United have signed Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Grant Ward on loan until January, subject to FL ratification.

Ward had been training with Rotherham in recent weeks, and obviously impressed manager Steve Evans enough to make a move happen. He certainly drew the admiration of Rotherham fans, scoring in both preseason games thus far.

Ward spent part of last season on loan at Coventry and was just as impressive there – not having him back this season will be a big blow for The Sky Blues. It’s a good move for both Rotherham and Ward, as the 20 year old should be given the playing time he needs to further his development.

Ward becomes The Millers eighth signing of the summer, but after having seen him already play well in a Millers shirt, he’s the one that Rotherham fans are most excited for. Now, he just has to live up to the hype.
