Championship clubs chase Man City striker

A host of Championship clubs are believed to be looking at Manchester City’s Jordi Hiwula.

The 20-year-old has been told he can leave the club for a nominal fee, believed to be around £500,000, and that has alerted the interest of a number of sides in the second tier.

According to Here Is The City, Huddersfield Town and Leeds United are keen whilst the Huddersfield Examiner adds both Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers to the list of admirers.  Scottish champions Celtic are also rumoured to be interested with the City academy product, who has impressed with the youngsters but has been told he’s unlikely to break into the star-studded first team.

Hiwula has represented England at both under-18s and under-19s but really made a mark whilst on loan last season with League One outfit Walsall, scoring nine goals in 19 appearances for the Saddlers.
