Ipswich Town are confident of securing Clayton Donaldson should Daryl Murphy leave the club.
The Tractor Boys have reportedly asked for £5m for the forward, and believe they can get the Birmingham Player of the Year for around £2m.
However reports have suggested that Donaldson wants to stay at Birmingham, where he blossomed last year under the management of Gary Rowett, who is keen to see him stay.
Murphy grabbed the top scorer award last year with 27 league goals, whereas Donaldson got 17 for the Blues as they climbed to 10th in the league.
Middlesbrough are thought to be interested in Murphy, whereas Leeds and Reading have both reportedly had bids rejected for Donaldson.
