Wednesday sign another

Sheffield Wednesday today completed the signing of Ross Wallace after his release from relegated Burnley.

Wallace had been at Turf Moor for 5 years, the last of those being spent in the Premier League.  The winger failed to have much impact last term however, as he spent most of the season on the bench.

Wallace is Wednesday’s third signing in 24 hours after the captures of Lewis Price and Alex Lopez.  These signings are just part of the new squad that Carlos Carvalhal is building following his recent appointment.

The Owls had a strong season last time out, finishing in 13th place, well away from the relegation places.  However with an ambitious owner and improving squad the goal for next season is Premier League football.

With the arrival of a number of new signings at Hillsborough so far in the transfer window, and definitely the possibility for more, it may not be too long before this dream becomes a reality.
