Blades’ boss says striker isn’t for sale

Sheffield United manager, Nigel Adkins, has today reassured fans that starlet Che Adams is not for sale.

Speculation came over the weekend that Cardiff City were interested in signing Adams and were in the process of lining up a bid, after enquiring about the player.  Today this interest from Cardiff took a hit as Adkins said he wasn’t looking to let any of his young players leave the club at this stage.

Adkins said: “We will be looking to strengthen before anybody leaves”.

Adams scored 9 times in 16 appearances for Ilkeston before moving to United in 2014 where he has played 10 times.  Adams began to make a name for himself last season when he scored twice against Premier League side Tottenham in a League Cup semi-final.

However it seems Adams will continue his spell at Sheffield United for at least another season, as boss Nigel Adkins attempts to get to know his squad.
