Sheffield United are thought to be closing in on Wigan forward Martyn Waghorn.
The former Leicester man has scored eight goals last year for the Latics, but with Wigan splashing the cash to try and get back into the second tier, Waghorn may become available.
Waghorn’s record is far from prolific, having around a one in five record over his career, though he has never had a spell in League One.
With Leeds supposedly interested in striker Jamie Murphy,United are thought to be looking for replacements and have identified Waghorn as a potential replacement.
