Newcastle winger Sammy Ameobi, the man with the coolest name in football, has joined Championship side Cardiff City on loan.
The winger has had a couple of mixed seasons at St. James Park and new boss Steve McClaren believes that a season of football in the Championship will do Ameobi some good.
Despite standing at a towering 6’4, Ameobi is known more for his trickery and skill than his physicality, by which brother Shola was more renowned for.
The 23 year old has a lot of ability but has struggled to show it with any consistency, so both Newcastle and Cardiff will hope he can find that consistency and push on.
Cardiff fought off Wolves for the signature of the Newcastle-born youngster.
