Fulham secure deal for ex-Tottenham midfielder

According to various reports today, Fulham have managed to sign former Blackpool midfielder Jamie O’Hara following his recent release from the Seasiders.

O’Hara had been training with the Cottagers for a few weeks and now boss Kit Symons has acted swiftly to secure his fifth signing of the off-season.

The talented midfielder started his career with North London outfit Tottenham and made over 50 appearances for Spurs but injuries stunted his progress at White Hart Lane and he was sold to Wolves after a successful loan spell.

After the Wanderers paid £3.5 million for the 28 year-old, injuries and fitness problems resulted in O’Hara making just 41 league appearances during his three year stint at Molinuex.

In November 2014, Blackpool offered the former England U21 international a short-term deal with was extended to the end season following impressive performances.

Speaking to the clubs website, O’Hara said:

“‘I’m absolutely delighted,’ he told the Fulham’s website. ‘I’ve had a couple of weeks training with the team and I really felt I wanted to get to this club.

“I’ve loved it, I’ve worked hard and now it’s paid off. I have to thank the manager for giving me the opportunity.”
