According to the Daily Star, Bolton are set to complete the signing of Real Madrid defender Derik Osede in the near future with the defender set to leave the European giants after 13 years.
The 22 year-old centre-back has been linked with a move to England for a few months now and it seems that a deal is now close to fruition to bring the player to the Reebok Stadium.
Since joining Madrid as a nine year-old, Osede has moved up through the youth ranks with the La Liga outfit playing for two of The Whites youth teams: Real Madrid C and Real Madrid Castilla.
Making over 100 appearances combined, Osede’s most recent first team action has been with Castilla in the Segunda Division for whom he made 14 appearances last season.
Highly rated as an international by Spain, the defender has been capped at six different youth levels gaining over 25 caps.
While playing for the Spanish U19 team, Osede was a part of the squad that won the UEFA European U19 Championship in 2012 and started in the final against Greece. The talented line up included the likes of Bayern Munich left-back Juan Bernat, Real Madrid’s Jese Rodriguez and former Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu.
