Fulham eye Wolves midfielder as Scott Parker replacement

Fulham have lined up Wolves midfielder Kevin McDonald to replace Scott Parker, according to Get West London.

It is thought that the London club will make a second bid of £1.25m for McDonald, who is seen by Kit Symons as the man to fill the role of veteran Scott Parker.

Parker, 34, has entered the final year of his contract at Craven Cottage, and his deal is not expected to be renewed.

The former England midfielder played a vital part in the Fulham team last season, however his influence was limited by a lack of fitness to feature week-in-week-out. Resigned to the need for him to move on, Symons has been quick to locate a replacement and this is in the form of Kevin McDonald.

The Wolves man is renowned for his passing ability. In September last season, he became the first player in English football to reach 500 passes.

McDonald was Wolves player of the year – both players’ and supporters’ – in their League One title-winning campaign in 2014 and at 26 years of age, he can become a mainstay of the Whites’ midfielder for many years to come.
