Cardiff make loan offer for Newcastle man

Cardiff City have launched a bid to try and sign Sammy Ameobi from Newcastle on loan, according to Wales Online.

The 23-year old has been attracting interest from several teams in various leagues. Premier League sides West Brom and Everton have been linked with moves, as have fellow Championship side Wolves.

Even Real Sociedad have been pondering whether or not make a move for the winger but it is now Cardiff who are in pole position to seal a deal for him.

Ameobi is out of contract this month but it is likely that Newcastle will try and keep him on at the club. Therefore, the Bluebirds wouldn’t be able to secure England Under-21 international on a permanent basis and they will instead make a loan offer for him.

Cardiff are believed to want him for the full season and they hope to tempt him to the Cardiff City Stadium with the lure of regular first-team action.
