Brentford in three club battle for prolific Dutch striker

The Sevenoaks Chronicle have reported that three clubs – Brentford, Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton Athletic – are all chasing ADO Den Haag target man Michiel Kramer with the player having stated his intent to leave the club this summer.

According to the report the more likely destination for the striker is London – therefore putting Brentford and Charlton to the top of his potential suitors.

Last season Kramer finished as the Eredivie’s third top scorer with 17 goals, only being surpassed by Luuk De Jong and newly-signed Manchester United winger Memphis Depay.

Despite his efforts in front of goal Den Haag only managed to finished 13th in the Eredivie – a full nine points below the European qualification places.

In his first season with the Dutch outfit, the 26 year-old made 15 appearances and, even though 11 of those were from the bench, managed to net seven goals and contribute four assists.

Standing at 6″5′ Kramer is a dominating figure to lead the attacking line and had a record of 39 goals in 105 games for Volendam before moving to Den Haag.
