Murphy’s law as Leeds United put in a Sharp transfer offer

Leeds are planning a bid for Jamie Murphy, according to the Sun.

The Elland Road side are keen on a deal for the Sheffield United man and are preparing to place a bid for the winger/striker in the coming days.

Newly-promoted Bristol City have also been linked with a move for the 25-year old but Leeds are confident they can beat the Robins to his signing because of what they are prepared to offer – club chiefs are reportedly planning to offer both cash and striker Billy Sharp in exchange for Murphy.

Sharp has been attracting interest from several clubs – including the Blades – and the Whites are willing to play to this interest to secure a deal for Murphy. Cash will also be offered to bring the deal up to Murphy’s £1.5m valuation.

It could prove to be an offer which is too hard for Nigel Adkins to turn down and we could very well see Murphy plying his trade at Elland Road next season and Sharp strutting his stuff for Sheffield United if the deal does go ahead.
