Norwich enter race for Blackburn striker

Norwich are the latest team to register an interest in Blackburn striker Rudy Gestede, according to Sky Sports.

The Canaries have reportedly made an enquiry about the forward, who had an impressive 2014/15 campaign at Ewood Park. However, they’ll face stiff competition to sign the 26-year old, with Watford also rumoured to be interested in a move.

Norwich are looking to sign some players to try and help keep them in the Premier League, with the Carrow Road side having been promoted to the top tier of English football through the play-offs last season.

Gestede has certainly proved he can cut it in the Championship, as he banged in 22 goals in 44 appearances for Blackburn in 2014/15 and Norwich now want him to bolster their attack in the Prem next season.

It could take a bid of up to £3m to convince Blackburn to part ways with the forward this summer.
