West Brom reportedly interested in MK Dons ace

According to recent reports, West Bromwich Albion are looking to launch a £1 million bid for Milton Keynes Dons midfielder Ben Reeves.

Reeves joined the Dons in 2013, after leaving Southampton, and has been a highly influential player for the boys at MK1.

Reeves has gone on to feature in 51 league games, notching 14 league goals in the process. His 7 goals and overall link-up play helped the Dons win automatic promotion to The Championship for the first time last season.

Having impressed since joining the Dons has seen Reeves earn his first full international cap for Northern Ireland, a European Championship qualifier against Greece in October 2014.

Despite performing well for the Dons, West Brom’s interest could be seen as a surprise due to the fact that Reeves is largely untested outside of League One.

Reeves has made 2 appearance in The Championship and 3 in the Premier League with Southampton, but 5 total appearances across the top-two tiers of English football isn’t enough to know his true capabilities.

If West Brom offer the Dons £1 million for Reeves, it is highly likely that they will accept the bid.

The Dons are in desperate need of upgrading, if they wish to survive in The Championship next season, and could use the money to invest on a position of desperate need: striker.

Reeves has easily been one of the Dons’ best players in the last two seasons but the Dons only have Tom Hitchcock on their books as a striker.

£1 million would be enough to buy Will Grigg, the striker that bagged an impressive 22 goals in all competitions for the Dons last season.

Should West Brom’s interest prove to be real, the Dons will have a difficult decision to make regarding which player thy covet more.

Which player would you prefer to see for the Dons? Reeves or Grigg? Let us know in the comments!
