Bournemouth enter race for Ipswich man

Bournemouth have joined the race to sign Tyrone Mings from Ipswich, according to reports.

The 22-year old is currently being targeted by several clubs, including West Brom and Newcastle.

As reported by us a few days back, the defender is highly sought after by the Toon, who have been keeping tabs on him for months. Even though it seemed as if Steve McClaren was in pole position to sign Mings, Bournemouth have now entered the race to sign him and are keen on doing business for the youngster.

The Cherries have reportedly made an enquiry about the centre-back – who can also play as a left-back – in the hopes of trying to secure a deal for him as soon as possible.

Ipswich aren’t too keen on letting the player leave and boss Mick McCarthy has said numerous times over the past few months that he would not be letting the player leave.

However, if the player himself wants a move up to the top tier of English football – or if a big enough offer came in – then the Tractor Boys may have to reluctantly let Mings leave the club.
