Turkish giants and two Serie A clubs to battle it out for Fulham’s £12 million flop

Fulham’s record signing, Kostas Mitroglou, is set for a Craven Cottage exit following a troubled time in London with several potential suitors emerging; Serie A’s Udinese and Sassuolo, and Turkish side Fenerbache leading the race for his signature.

Despite his struggles in England, Mitroglou has constantly been a prolific scorer in Greece for four different clubs since his senior debut back in 2007.

The Greek international’s form for current Greece SuperLeague Champions Olympiacos during 2012 and 2013 led to his move to Fulham due to incredible scoring rate.

20 goals in 42 games during the 2012-13 season led to the striker netting 14 goals in just 12 games during the first half of the 2013-14 season before his January transfer to the Cottagers.

A powerful forward standing at 6″2′, Mitroglou was the first Greek played to score a Champions League hat-trick which came in the group stages away at Belgian side Anderlecht.

Since being signed by former-Fulham boss Felix Magath a year and a half ago, the 27 year-old has only made three appearances for the Cottagers and has never scored.
