Leeds United have increased their interest in Tendayi Darikwa, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The 23-year old has been on fire at the Proact Stadium – he was the club’s Player of the Year – and it has led to a lot of interest from teams in higher leagues.
One of these teams is Leeds. The Elland Road side have been linked with the right-sided player for several weeks now and both teams have already held talks over a potential move.
With talks now over, United are planning on stepping up their interest in Darikwa over the coming weeks. He could be a replacement for Sam Byram who – as reported by The 72 here – has been the subject of a failed bid from Sunderland.
Darikwa was a mainstay for Chesterfield last season, as he featured 56 times and scored one goal.
