Jermaine Grandison is rumoured to be signing a deal with Birmingham City, after turning down Shrewsbury’s offer of a new deal.
The 24-year-old defender is out of contract this summer and it’s thought that Rowett sees him as a potential signing.
Tall, athletic and comfortable on the ball, Grandison is capable of operating at centre-half and right back, and is a fan favourite at Shrewsbury, due to his love of flair when attacking and carrying the ball out of defence.
An injury stopped his progress two years ago that might have seen him move up a division then, but now it seems right for him to move on and Blues are having a look.
