Burton tracking ex-Bristol City man

Burton Albion are tracking the progress of current free agent, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, according to the Burton Mail.

The striker is currently on the lookout for a new club after being released by Bristol City and he has been heavily linked with a move to QPR over the past few weeks.

He is believed to be keen to make the move to London but reports today are claiming Burton have declared an interest and Emmanuel-Thomas could be prepared to move to the Brewers to work under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

The forward has also played for Arsenal and Ipswich and if the Brewers can secure a deal for him, then he could be a valuable addition to newly-promoted League 1 side.

The 24-year old had been with Bristol City since 2013 and he played 48 times for the club last season, bagging 12 goals.
