Norwich eyeing up prolific Manchester City forward

East Anglian outfit Norwich City are, according to reports, interested in signing Manchester City’s Swedish international John Guidetti as the striker’s contract expires in the summer.

The attacker is yet to make a Premier League appearance for City despite joining the Citizens back in 2008 as a 16 year-old.

Signing from his home town club IF Brommapojkarna Guidetti spent the first of his five loan spells from City at the Swedish outfit – scoring three and assisting three in just eight games.

Guidetti’s breakthrough onto the European stage was during the 2011-12 season when he was loaned to Dutch side Feyenoord. Helping the club to a 2nd placed finish and Champions League qualification, Guidetti finished as the 5th top scorer in the league despite only playing 23 games – scoring 20 goals.

Last season the Swede was situated in Scotland with Scottish giants Celtic and helped the Hoops to a Scottish Premier League title as well as the Scottish League Cup, scoring 15 goals in 35 games in all competitions.
